About

Academy @ Home offers a diverse collection of livestreams, interactive science games, videos, and DIY projects designed to engage learners of all ages from any location. Attendees can explore themed activity packs aimed at making science fun for kids, participate in citizen science initiatives like transcribing botanical specimen labels, and connect with nature through events such as California Biodiversity Day by sharing observations via iNaturalist. The platform also highlights groundbreaking scientific discoveries, including the description of 72 new species in 2025, showcasing the breadth of Earth's biodiversity. This resource serves as a dynamic extension of the California Academy of Sciences’ commitment to accessible, hands-on science education beyond the museum walls.
