Exhibit - Liam Everett

Liam Everett Sep 10 – Oct 29, 2026 Liam Everett (American, b. 1973) lives and works in Sebastopol, CA. Everett has established the studio as a site of both investigation and rehearsal. His practice is mediated by a set of open-ended, continually shifting questions as to the influence of gesture, material, obstruction, and the environment upon his work. Rather than offering definitive answers, however, Everett’s paintings further elaborate these questions and act as record of the material encounters that occur within them. Exhibit Available During Regular Operating Hours: Monday-Friday 10am-5pm

We fly for a liberated we, we rooted in flight - YBCA

"We fly for a liberated we, we rooted in flight" is an ongoing public artwork by Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo, presented as a printed vinyl installation across three exterior sites at YBCA. This work, part of the artist's "F.L.I.G.H.T. S.C.H.O.O.L." series, invites passersby to engage in a journey of collective flight, emphasizing the lifelong commitment to the liberation, safety, and care of Black, Indigenous, queer, Trans, non-binary, people of color, and all oppressed communities. Through powerful imagery and embedded poetry, the artwork prompts reflection on actions that strengthen collective wings, fostering a justice-filled future. Commissioned by YBCA, it's a profound exploration of survival, love, and communal soaring.

Bay Area Then

What does it mean to live with possibility? To live in a moment when artists and citizens reject fear and find power in discovery? For those who came of age in the Bay Area with the apocalyptic uncertainty of nuclear proliferation and the AIDS crisis; the devastation of the Loma Prieta earthquake and the Oakland firestorm; the audacious acquittal of LAPD officers Koon, Wind, and Briseno and the disembodied destruction of the first Gulf War; the road was bleak. And yet the energy in the cultural sector at the time was electrified.

Gahee Park: Behind the Curtain

Gahee Park: Behind the Curtain

GaHee Park: Behind the Curtain presents recent paintings that explore sexuality, mortality, fantasy, identity, and alienation through Park’s surrealist lens. Quiet portraits of domestic solitude merge with uncanny still lifes and gentle seaside landscapes, as Park inverts inner psychology and the outer world. Insects, snails, and sardines linger, while contemplative women peer into cocktail glasses—who is imagining who? Subverting the viewer’s gaze while also troubling the traditional notion of subject, Park invites us to peek behind the curtain, as she lays claim to her own power as a surrealist painter working across fantasy and intimacy. Curated by Dorothy Dávila, GaHee Park: Behind the Curtain is the artist’s inaugural solo institutional exhibition in the U.S.
